Looking for a DVD recorder preferable + and - also wouldnt mind RAM. Would like 5.1 sound (doesnt have to have the speakers only ability). Would also like it to have Freeview decoder on board so can just point to EPG and record. Want also to be Multi region capable.

Not asking for a lot am I.

Cant seem to find any. nearest found was a Panasonic.

Do you mean you want it to have a digital output to connect to 5.1 amp, or do you want to be able to connect speakers directly to it? The former is (i imagine, given that its a recorder and not just a player) more likely.

You may struggle to find a recorder with built in surround decoding. With I presume 6 phono sockets on the back for the 5.1 surround speakers you've got. Seem to be plenty of systems about which include speakers but finding just the player/recorder on it's own doesn't seem so easy

If you can't find anything then maybe something like this might be an alternative....

A fairly compact external decoder. With the ability to hook-up other kit as well if you need it.
