MP3 Player with Line Out
Hi, I have a little 1GB Flash drive which I wanted to play through my car radio, I have both a cassette adaptor and an FM transmitter, but the music is not loud enough with either. Does anybody know of any MP3 players with a 'line out' option that boosts the volume?
Thanks. |

Thanks. Line out levels are fixed. iPods have Line out with a connector lead. |

line output
As the other person said will not boost output.
It is just a fixed level output that does not change when you alter the flash player's volume. That makes me ask if you are feeding the car radio from the flash player via the headphone output of the flash player, is the volume of the player turned right up? As my player does not have a line output, I am using my player like this into my HI FI and when I first did it the player's volume was about halfway. So to get half decent volume out of the HI FI I turned up the amp. This was ok until I turned the HI FI back to it's radio and the thing nearly blew the speakers inside out..... Only other thing to suggest, I used to play my portable CD player thru the car radio using a cassette adapter and if I remember rightly if I turned/inserted the cassette adapter over the thing played louder. This I think was a head alignment issue. Where the adapter wasn't quite in line with the radio's cassette heads. Never tried a radio link, but think if the flash player's volume is set low on this it will give a low modulation to the radio signal, and requiring the car radio to need to be turned up. Last thing try new battery in flash player to give max output. PC |

Thanks for all your advice guys, i was under the impression that some players had a different volume setting for connecting to external speakers as opposed to headphones, but I guess I'll just max the volume, distortion isn't too bad...
