MIMO Wireless Router For HomeChoice
Ninja Master
11-04-2006
Hi All,

I've given up trying to customise my Netgear DG834G router with homechoice. I've read conflicting reports with some saying it's possible to get it working and others saying it won't work.

Anyway, can any one recommend a mimo wireless router for homechoice ? Need this as I live in a townhouse and need broadband access to all floors... hence the mimo.

Cheers

Why does needing access on all floors mean you need mulitple inputs on your router?

I have a netgear mimo/g WPN824 wireless router and it works like a charm.

You could always use a couple of repeaters.

I have an Airport Extreme and an Airport Express as a repeater - works like a charm AND the Airport Express gives me a wired lan segment without needing long wiring runs.

Great for hoocking up wired ethernet printers etc.

I need access to all floors as have a lap-top downstairs, wife has a PC on the middle floor and I have a PC on the top floor. All need access to the net and have pci cards. Hence, the wireless solution - needs to be powerful enough to hit all floors...

cheers for the tips so far

Sorry not trying to sound awkard, but wanting a robust network across all floors, I can understand why you'd want multiple outputs, but still don't see why that means you need a multiple input router?
