Pioneer AVR + HDMI?
Please forgive my ignorance if I'm stating the obvious, but I do have a query. I currently channel all of my audio (TV, DVD, VCR & SKY+) through my Pioneer AVR. It has 4 euroscarts and each of the aforementioned connects to it via them. Of course, the DVD & also SKY+ also connect digitally (& 5.1 analogue for the DVD too) for surround sound.
Now, I have ordered SKY HD and am in the process of selecting a new HD ready TV. I noticed that HD will also be 5.1 and transmitted via HDMI. My question (FINALLY I hear you scream!) is will I still connect all of my equipment via SCART and digital optical/ coax to the AVR and just use the HDMI for picture? And will I also be able to connect my DVD via component to the TV, again for picture only, whilst still connecting everything else (for ll of the SOUND) options via the AVR? Any help/advice would be much appreciated. Thanks (in advance)
