Daewoo 4:3 28" tv
Have just bought a Daewoo 28" tv 4:3 as a temporary measure until LCD etc settle down. When I switch channels on analogue it takes about 5 secs to go from one to the other and it's something I've never experienced on TV's before. I'm connected to a Panasonic STB and a Sony VCR and have checked all connections. Has any one experienced this?

Could simply be that it is waiting to see if you make another keystroke - for example if you press 1 it might wait 5 seconds to see if you press another number (say 2 for the sake of discussion) in case you are actually wanting channel number 12. Very often, TV's that do this will show the number you've just pressed followed by a dash on the screen (1-). Try pressing a zero then the number you want (01 etc) and see if that make it change faster.
EDIT - under these circumstances, this isn't a fault. Philips TV's used to be set up like this years ago, and there is a chance that your Daewoo might just be running Philips software. |

Yep, same on my parents' Matsui. They always just end up switching channels using the channel up and down options, much quicker and easier to skip through channels.
