As expected, EastEnders swept the board at the 2002 TV Quick Awards for the second year running, but ITV's Coronation Street left empty-handed.

The show won best soap while Kacey Ainsworth, who plays the soap's Little Mo, picked up the best soap actress award, all of which are voted for by readers of the television magazine.

Screen husband Trevor, played by Alex Ferns, was voted best soap newcomer.

Martin Kemp once again picked up the best soap actor award for his role as the scheming Steve Owen.

The Little Mo and Trevor domestic violence story, won the best storyline award.

So in other words, Eastenders -5 Coronation Street -0

All i can say is Go Eastenders Go Eastenders

That would be the TV Quick that has Eastenders characters on it's front cover every single week - I used to joke about which Slater was going to be on the front cover (I'v been let down the last two weeks though) -

But who reads Eastenders.

As things go Eastenders will not win next year as there will be no cast members left.

You have
Lisa, Mark,Tom, Jamie, Trevor leaving along with breaks for Sharon and Dot. Make the most of it sunshine, Corrie will win it next year. LOL

After watching Corrie in recent months and Emmerdale and EastEnders - how could the readers of this magazine vote EE as winning all those awards again. Not as many as last year but still. Who reads that magazine? Is it young people?
