Big Brother rulz other reality tv programmes and pop idol and popstars r boring. U lot here should of bought the tv quick magazine and voted like i did. Oh well i just hope it wins at the National TV awards

I haven't a clue how "Pop Idol" and "popstars", can be labelled reality television.

If they can be called reality television, you could put "Stars in their eyes" and all other talent shows into the reality tv genre.
Or for that matter, any game show that has members of the public in it, like "The Weakest Link".


In my view, there's no way on earth that they can convince me that "Pop Idol" is reality TV.
If "Opportunity Knocks", "Stars in their eyes", "New Faces", and the dozens of other talent shows aren't reality TV, then "Pop Idol" isn't either.

For crying out loud, it's going to get to the point where you could call absolutely anything on television, that isn't drama, reality telelvision.

Pop Idol and Popstars are so not reality TV - They are so unreal it's amazing.

The only totally pure reality tv is Big Brother......Pop Idol is rehearsed and stage managed so where the reality is who knows. The NTA Awards will produce the same result sadly, unless they put PI in another category, like best entertainment or game show.

How many tuned in to the BB final and how many votes were cast in that?

Then look at 'Im a Celeb GMOOH' figures for the final, there were 12 million tuned in, and only 1.5 million votes cast between the two finalists, when in BB, 10 million tuned in, and 5.8 million votes cast across their two finalists.

Look at all the sour grapes in the awards industry over it.

Pop Stars etc are talent shows not a reality shows, if anything Big Brother is more of a talent show then Pop Stars reality *LOL*
