Pink Floyd at Earls court about 10 or 12 odd years ago, we went on the night that was filmed and shown on the BBC.
Also amazing as it sounds now but Bryan Adams in Bournemouth a few years back was great, brilliant atmosphere. |

I saw Sigur Ros in Iceland with a friend of mine (who lives there), and that was amazing. Coming out and seeing the Northern Lights after such lovely music = v.special.
I'm going to see Arctic Monkeys tomorrow night too, so we'll see where on the list they turn up! |

Good thread!! Best concerts I've seen would have to be BJORK, FLEETWOOD MAC, PETER GABRIEL, MANIC STREET PREACHERS and the most recent, COLDPLAY in Madrid a couple of years ago. All excellent.

ooooh....where do i start?
one of the manic street preachers gigs in the mid nineties was probably the best, as in best time, with best mates. bob dylan was pretty funny; seeing all the middle aged peeps sat in circles on the floor of the CIA smoking doobs. the velvet revolver gig i won tickets to last year was amazing, even though the tickets were seated! met the feeder guys when they checked into a hotel i was working in and they put me on their guest list. that was very cool. had a crowd surf to "buck rogers". love crowd surfing! met the band "my vitriol" at the aftershow and together we nicked feeder's wine from their dressing room. took the my vit guys to TJ's and back to the hotel and got suspended the next day! more of a fun night that the best gig!BTW oasis was by far the sh*test gig i've ever been to. |

I have been to loads of gigs, festivals etc and have been been blown away many times, The Killers, Glastonbury last year, Chilli Peppers, orbital to name a few,
However hand on heart the most amazing live act I have ever seen was Michael Jackson at Wembley arena in about 1998. Seeing a chilchood hero perform the tracks that shaped my childhood was truly moving! |

Best ever would be The Thrills at Glasgow's Carling Acadamy in 2004. Seen 'bigger' bands, but the atmosphere that night was incredible and it was one of the few concerts I've known every lyric to every song.
Coming close would be Keane at T in the Park last year. Most disapointing would be REM - they were good, but didn't blow me away at all. |

Not sure about the best, but of all the concerts I've been to these are the top performers that I can think of:
Rush - Glasgow Apollo, my first ever gig, circa 1980 Robert Plant (twice) - Glasgow Apollo then Barrowlands Page & Plant - Glasgow SECC Patti Smith (twice) - once in The Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow, once in the Usher Hall Edinburgh Neil Young - Glasgow SECC Coheed and Cambria - Glasgow Barrowlands UFO (twice) - Glasgow Apollo then Glasgow Barrowlands Night of the Guitars (including Alvin Lee, Robbie Krieger, Leslie West) - Edinburgh |
