Bryan Adams - he is awesome. But Robbie Williams at MK Bowl came close

Funnily enough probably the best was one by a sadly missed gentleman named Ian Dury with the Blockheads which seems an awful long time ago (and probably was ). The man had such stage presence and the Blockheads were blindingly good musicians.

I've been going to gigs for thirty years, but the best gig I ever saw, by a country mile, was Rammstein at Newcastle Arena last July. Just incredible.

I can think of quite a few...

Depeche Mode - Manchester MEN 30/3/06
Tool - Manchester Apollo 9/6/01 and Brixton Academy 13/5/02
Smashing Pumpkins - Manchester Apollo 31/10/00
Tori Amos - Manchester Apollo 13/1/03
A Perfect Circle - Manchester Academy ??/9/03 and Nottingham Rock City ??/02/04 (can't remember exact dates!)

out of those I would say that Depeche Mode and Tool have been the best, but the others were also brilliant gigs...

The Who twice in 75, and Black Sabbath in 74 were something special.

Janet Jackson's "Velvet Rope" tour was the best concert I have ever seen. I've seen several people in concert- Madonna, Cher, etc., and none of them can top a show that Janet puts on.

Now this is a tough one... Green Day at Milton Keynes was pretty awesome to watch them pull off... but I would have to say Pennywise in 1996 at the Manchester University was pretty cool... it was also one of the last shows Jason Thirsk played before he committed suicide... they got me on stage, gave me a beer and let me stagedive... pure rock 'n' roll!!!

Don't mean to rub it in, but I saw them in '97 at the Royal Court in Liverpool, which is tiny, and was about six feet from them... awesome.

Stereophonics at the Millenium Stadium, 23rd December 2003.

Watching Kelly and the boys is always awesome but when you see them play live in Wales, it's mind blowing! 60,000 people eating out of Kelly's hand, Welsh flags everywhere and the odd chorus of "As long as we beat the English, we don't care" completed the perfect gig

Live 8 was amazing.
Robbie at MK
Stereophonics in Birmingham
Green Day at MK

All the above were amazing.....

Absolutely love Oasis, but was majorly dissapointed at their performance live, great music, but they seemed like they really didn't want to be there.

Live 8, although most of the bands were horrible, it had the most incredible atmosphere. Oh, and Pink Floyd too..

So jealous! I saw Feeder last month and they were excellent. Great gig.

Also agree about Oasis - was the most forgettable gig i've been to.

U2, June 2005 - Foos, December 2005.

I'm a huge U2 fan but the Foos at Hyde Park in June this year is going to top both, I just know it

Probably Boyz II Men quite recently as i had waited for that for about ten years!

MJ concert years ago was pretty special too and of course the first one i went to, New Kids On the Block was memorable.
