I've only been to two gigs (I'm a latecomer to the world of live music

) and both were pretty awesome but I think that no matter what gigs I go to none will be quite as good as my first gig (Primal Scream, UEA, 30/11/2008)- that feeling of being nervous and excited at the same time and just going with the flow to the point where I was dancing along to every song without worrying what anyone thought about it. The experience was slightly overwhelming but in the best possible way and I doubt that I will get quite the same experience again because I know now where to stand, when to go to the toilet so as to get a vantage point when the main event comes on (an essential for someone who is only 5 foot 2!) etc, and while I really enjoyed my second gig it did not feel as spontaneous as my first.
I have discovered my favourite part of any gig though, and the moment that will excite me whether I'm at gig one or gig 101- the moment before the band come on stage, where the sound dips and the lights dim and you can cut the anticipation with a knife, followed by the huge cheer when the band finally emerge. Makes the hairs on my neck stand up and probably always will!
Also, if you get a chance go and see Primal Scream live- they are a brilliant live band and to see Mani in full throttle is worth the entrance fee alone- the guys an absolute legend!
