Brian Wilson at T in the Park 2007

It was pouring with rain outside, but in the tent, it was boiling - it was like you were on a beach in California listening to the Beach Boys.

Such a good atmosphere, a brilliant gig!

Nanci Griffith, either at York in 2005, where I had a front row seat, or at the Jazz Cafe in 2007, due to it's intimacy.

She's amazing.

The REZILLO'S, King Georges Hall, Blackburn, July 1977. I still get tired just thinking about how much energy the band used that night! Saw them again at Wasted Festival in Morecambe about 4 years ago and again in Blackpool last year and they still have all that energy!

About 4 years ago I saw Feeder in Bar Prague on Canal Street in Manchester. It was an invitation only gig and such a tiny place, only 100 people. It was the night before they played the MEN with Coldplay. My ears didn't recover for weeks!

Best band ever! They're my favourite but I wasn't fortunate enough to see them as a group. They've reformed, though, and are going to gig soon. Awesome!

George Michael, saw him at Earls court about 3 years ago. Only saw him once and I have followed other performers and seen them loads of times. But nothing compares to that night, he was bloody brilliant.

I've only been to two gigs (I'm a latecomer to the world of live music) and both were pretty awesome but I think that no matter what gigs I go to none will be quite as good as my first gig (Primal Scream, UEA, 30/11/2008)- that feeling of being nervous and excited at the same time and just going with the flow to the point where I was dancing along to every song without worrying what anyone thought about it. The experience was slightly overwhelming but in the best possible way and I doubt that I will get quite the same experience again because I know now where to stand, when to go to the toilet so as to get a vantage point when the main event comes on (an essential for someone who is only 5 foot 2!) etc, and while I really enjoyed my second gig it did not feel as spontaneous as my first.

I have discovered my favourite part of any gig though, and the moment that will excite me whether I'm at gig one or gig 101- the moment before the band come on stage, where the sound dips and the lights dim and you can cut the anticipation with a knife, followed by the huge cheer when the band finally emerge. Makes the hairs on my neck stand up and probably always will!

Also, if you get a chance go and see Primal Scream live- they are a brilliant live band and to see Mani in full throttle is worth the entrance fee alone- the guys an absolute legend!

Easily the best gig I have ever been to, if only for the electric atmosphere. Simply amazing. Thinking back on the gig gives me chills.

Has to be John Barrowman last year at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. He sang completely live, he danced, he was brilliant with the audience, and his special guest Ben James-Ellis was absolutely brilliant as well. And I am going to see him again in Glasgow in concert again this year and I am so excited - can't wait!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Foo Fighters at Wembley last summer. It was amazing.

Have got tonnes of concerts booked up for this year so perhaps one of them will come close to stealing Dave Grohl's crown...

...he was every bit as good as the hype: came on air-guitaring to 'Enter Sandman' and had a capacity audience in the palm of his hand for three hours, towards the end the bar staff and bouncers were all crowding in for a gander as well...

I've seen Skunk Anansie's live stuff loads It's sooooo good and Skin is really powerful, whether it's the nice stuff or the harder rock they do.

I've seen Skin live, on her own, twice and she was amazing. The rest of the band have been doing music-related stuff (well, Cass less so I think) so they should still be rockable. The drummer, Mark, is in Feeder for example.
