Orange-Magic Numbers

Orange has launched a new discount scheme were you can nominate an Orange number and the call will cost no more than 15p for a whole hour when ever you choose to call it.

After a six month period, you will be able to choose another number ect......

For pay monthly users, the call will be charged for the first minute and then free afterwards.

More info at: www.orange.co.uk/magic

Before you pay monthly guys get too excited, read the terms and conditions:
Quote:
“1. Magic Numbers is open to new customers who connect to an 18-month contract and existing customers who are within the last 3 months of their current contract re-connecting to an 18-month contract without a handset upgrade or to a 24-month contract with a handset upgrade.”

Also, to clarify:
Quote:
“4. Calls to a Magic Number will either decrement a minute from the customer's airtime bundle - in order of bundle priority - or charge 12p out of bundle for the first hour of the call. The initial charge or decrement will be taken at point of call connection, therefore the call will cost the same if it lasts 1 second or 59 minutes and 59 seconds...”

PAYG customers subject to the usual minimum monthly top-up of £10 or more.

Be charged 1 minute for that hour call, or be charged 3 minutes - you decide.

he/she has point though. With Orange Magic numbers, you can only nominate 1 number every six months and it has to be an Orange number only.

With Vodafone stop-the-clock its first 3 minutes and then free for the rest of the hour to call all UK mobiles and landlines.

And with BT payphones you can call landlines for just 30p for 15 minutes and then 10p per every 7 minutes after that.

You might have difficulty carrying one of them around in your pocket though

The Orange magic number is good but Vodafone stop the clock is simply the best offer especially for PAYG.

As some have already said it works to ALL mobile networks and landlines. And Voda 2 Voda or Landline is only 15p for an hour just like magic costs.

And there is no requirement to top-up monthly on PAYG unlike most of the other networks offers require.

Vodafone Stop The Clock is cross network and it applies to anyone you phone, not just ONE Magic Number! lol

Orange Magic Number is a bit of a rip-off, in that it only applies to other Orange Numbers to start with! And you only get to choose one number every six months.

Hardly any competition for Stop The Clock!
