on the off chance that there are any prince fans here who don't already know, he is doing two shows in Manchester and London at the start of October, tickets went on sale this morning.

I can't go unfortunately

Have you seen the price of those concerts ?
£45,55 and 65 !

I can't believe people would pay that much to see him. Yes some of his earlier stuff was great but what did he really do in the mid 90s thru to now ?
Like Madonna, those years are probably best forgotten, except Madonna had a revival with Ray Of Light.

I see that Springsteen sold out Wembley Arena in a few hours. I wonder if he had done it so quickly without having the No 1 album in the UK at the time ?

I know - a bit steep - but he does put on a great show - saw him in 1988 and 1992. Can't go as I'm away on holiday, although I'm sure my credit card was relieved! Although at least now he's sorted his legal wranglings with WarnerBros, he might be play more of his earlier stuff.

He is one of those artists that you have to see really I guess. I always regret not having seen Queen play live whilst Mercury was alive. I read that he was the ultimate showman. And INXS were always highly rated by my mates who saw them and I thought I would see them at a later date, and then Hutchence dies and it's not the same any more.

I would like to see Prince play live, but not at those prices.
