I have heard that there are codes available to get free credit on your mobile phone, is this true and if so what networks are they for and does anyone have the codes?

There are supposed to be codes (at least there were once) that 'stopped the clock' (NO REFERENCE OR CONNECTION WITH CURRENT VODAFONE TARIFFS) on some phones that would allow you some free minutes. I think the networks caught on to this and would disable any sim card that was found to be operating with such a code or 'hack'.

I used to have a load of different codes a few years ago when using a (now ancient and defunct) nokia 3330 for various features including the ability to find out other peoples text message contents. I only used this as an experiment beween friends phones and in no way hacked any other mobiles.

Things have moved on now so the networks are a bit more secure so doubt there will be much out there that won't risk disconnection from the network.

No codes can be used. Even if you did find one, you are defrauding the companies as such breaking the law.

Many years ago on Tmobile or one2one as it was then you used to endless free minutes.
It was during the days of telephone chatlines I know countless people who phoned up on a one2one and stay on the phone for hours on end and only get charged for 5 minutes!!
Sometimes you would only get charged for a minute sometimes more!
I remember the times when you felt gutted lol because you had been charged 20 minutes for a 6 hour call!!

I remember when me and my then girlfriend were on One2One there was a problem with the network for a while and for a few weeks were weren't getting charged for our calls as long as you hadn't topped up with credit.

Also on One2One you used to be able to dial another One2One user's voicemail directly and leave them messages for free. We used to fill each other's voicemail inboxes constantly!
