As you can see the list is huge and includes some really basic boxes. This makes me suspect that all you need for Guide-+ is MHEG capability.....

Ah; that list is for something subtly different- it's not receivers that include the Guide+ EPG built in - it's for those that can be controlled by a box like a DVD recorder that's itself equipped with Guide+.

Indeed yes, I had seen that page too. It seems a litle silly to connect a TF5000PVR to a Guide+ DVD Recorder when the Toppy has far superior recording capabilities (two digital tuners) rather than hook it up with RF or scart and analogue record, just because the DVD Recorder has the better EPG.

I'm talking about the satellite Toppy here before some of you have a go at me.
