lager, lager, lager, lager.........

I think that was their best moment, although the singles have been pretty good since.

I think that dance acts just don't make good albums. Sasha, Orbital, Oakenfold, Leftfield can make superb singles, but their albums don't cut the mustard. The only dance(ish) albums I have gone back to are usually Soul ones.

Off topic the new albums by Richard Ashcroft, Supergrass and Bon Jovi are very good. Ashcroft in particular - very mellow mind, but blows Coldplay away.

Born Slippy was originally only intended as a joke song, but the novelty effect took it to huge heights of popularity. This popularity brought a lot of interest to Underworld and many people were disappointed to find out the rest of their work wasn't the same.

I think it's unfair that people over generalise Underworld, Leftfield and others as simply 'dance'. They are far more than that, and really stem from experimentation and growth, so one album typically is very different to another. That is the appeal and that is IMO what makes it very different to typical 'dance' that people categorize these days.

And those who think that these bands are only good at singles, then take the Chemical Brothers last two albums as examples. Masterpieces... if you don't agree, then you are probably looking at the wrong type of dance albums.
