Hi, I'm now the proud owner of a new 5800 and reading the manual it states that the utils required to connect to a PC are TFDN_USB.exe and Altair.exe and that these can be downloaded from www.i-topfield.com site.
Well, I've searched the site downloads from top to bottom and can find no mention of the required files. Are they there but non searchable? Are they available from any other source? I'm pulling my scarce grey hair out here! Thanks!

Have you got popups disabled? You clik search software and a popup opens. You select the one you want from a list. It took me four seconds to find it. You need to allow www.i-topfield.com to open popups in your browser settings. Easy in FF tools, options; no idea in IE.

You can also find most of what you need by following links on www.toppy.org.uk/downloads/windows.php which is an independent site for users, or www.topfield.co.uk which is run by the UK distributor.

Both will probably give better performance than the Korean site.

Thanks to both rhubarbe and Nigel for the info. Popups were enabled but the only software that was listed for the 5800 was 'TAP API and samples' & 'HAGAREN' neither of which contained the required utils.

Anyway, I have gone to the toppy.org site and found the utils I need. Thanks again for your inputs. regards, nige.

The utilities aren't specific to the TF5800 but are generic in that they work with all Topfield receivers that have a USB port.
