*gets book out to remember*...
- Shibusashirazu Orchestra (only watched because it was the first act, but I really really enjoyed them.. mix between Ska, Pink Floyd and god knows what else.. I was expecting Last Night At The Proms style.. even managed to get John Peel to play a track of theirs on his Tuesday show afterwards)
- Lisa Fitzgibbon (acoustic tent.. really good)
- Bush (didnt really watch, just there)
- Dandy Warhols (although didnt totally enjoy, I'll never forget the scene of everybody chilled out with their beers (and god knows what-else, actually I think we all know what else) in the sun.. its my first glasto by the way so this was an amazing sight)
- Doves (been a fan for ages, seen them support Travis before and they were 10 times better this time.. really enjoyable..
- Queens of the Stoneage (fantastic.. again, I really like these as it is but they were far better than I expected and had so much fun)
- Mercury Rev (once again, like these anyway.. really enjoyable)
- Faithless (had possibly the best time of my life in that audience.. everyone was so up for it)
- Coldplay (fantastic.. thats why I'm seeing them again)
- Simple Kid (new bands tent.. never heard a band sound so good.. looking back I missed The Coral for these, but worth it.. even though I am into The Coral now)
- Electric Soft Parade (big fan before hand.. still really good. Keyboard'ist was a nutter, and the last song where they jammed was fantastic..)
- Simian (new bands tent.. caught the last few songs.. very good indeed)
Alfie (new bands tent.. very good I was rather pissed by now so enjoyed a great deal..)
- White Stripes (massive fan anyway, really enjoyable.. great chemistry on stage.. haven't stopped listening to a couple of their albums since
- The Charlatans (quite good but quite pissed now and didnt enjoy as much as I should, usually drink makes me enjoy things more, but in a close crowd it has the opposite effect)
- Stereophonics (beyond pissed by this stage and just wanted to get out the audience but couldnt, so I couldnt really enjoy.. loved the encore though with the Beatles and The Who song.. worth getting stuck in the audience for!)
- Rolf Harris (I assure you, everyone was there for Rolf.. and rightfully so.. I may no longer be a student, but I'm still 21 and have the mind of one, so I totally loved this.. couldn't stop ringing ppl up to say I was watching Rolf Harris.. I'll never forget it.
- New Model Army (didnt listen to, just relaxed..)
- Hundred Reasons (read above)
- Badly Drawn Boy (chilled to, most enjoyable)
- Elbow (big fan before.. so naturally enjoyed.. although everyone around me was stoned and I wasn't.. grr)
- Roger Waters (Pink Floyd are probably my fav band, I seen this guy the week before at the NEC and was totally taken back by just how good it was.. same applies to watching him at Glasto.. shocked at how good his solo work was as well
- Rod Stewart (watch first few songs but decide to head over to.......)
- Air (perfectly pissed by this stage and totally enjoyed)
I'm not usually so enthusiastic about things, but I had such an amazing time there that I coudn't stress it enough during my above posts..
I'll see you there next year I hope
