The Blue Aeroplanes have a new album called 'Altitude' just released, as you may know....don't think this single is by them, though.

'Swagger' is one of my favourite all time albums.

that was why i initially wondered about this thread - have you heard the new album? sorry, hijacking the thread.

(mind you, a bit more info about the aeroplanes wouldn't have gone amiss...)

Yes, apologies to the OP........

But, no I haven't heard the new album, although 1 or 2 of the tracks are re-workings of old songs (e.g Up In A Down World).

IMO The Blue Aero's peaked with 'Swagger' and album after album have gone slightly downhill. I stayed loyal until the Cavaliers/Roundheads dodgy affair, but I might get the new one eventually. Top band in their prime, though.

Last time I saw the Blue Aeroplanes was around the time of Swagger. It was so hot in the mosh pit my glasses practically melted! Good band though. Didn't they have a Bez type dancer?

They did Nan. His name was Wojtek Dmochowski, a Polish nutjob who used to whip the already over-heaving moshpit into a frenzy with his bizarre dancing.

One of the first bands I saw live and was lucky to come out in one piece.
