Sound Drop Out
Bonburton
28-04-2006
I've had the Topfield for about 3 months now (replacing a Fusion 200 which went back, much as I loved it, as not fit for purpose, after 2 library loses) and am using it out of the box. All has been well until the past couple of weeks. Playback of all recordings is blighted by about a 1 second sound loss every couple of minutes. If I rewind and replay I still get a loss but not at the same point. I see there was a thread about 10 months ago on this issue but it seems to have gone dead. My signal quality is 90+, my cabling is sound and there is no correlation between recording source and problem, its there on radio recordings and TV recordings regardless of channel. The box is using latest versions. Any ideas ?

Check your AV settings - is the TV type set to PAL, and the sound to PAL I ?

Nigel.
