Hi folks,

I have Freetalk as my Voip provider and i was just wondering, can i use more than 1 freetalk box on the same broadband line?

Reason i ask is i share my broadband line and my friend would like to use freetalk as well but unsure whether we can have both connected at the same time.

Thanks

Can't see any problem, so long as you have enough bandwith for the both of you - the box is unique to your login ID's so there shouldn't be any conflicts. In these days of high speed downloads you'll usually be fine on your download rate, but make sure you're not losing your capacity on uploads.

Unless you connect via a dedicated VOIP router or a router that is prioritised for data on the ports the ATA device is connected to, you could find calls become poor quality as soon as you start downloading a lot (or uploading not very much at all on some of the download/upload ratios).
