That doesn't surprise me...

The original point of BB was that it was a psychological experiment. Now, of course that hasn't been the point of it for about five series, but I still enjoyed the analysis show. It was different.

Im sure they had the analasis show last year it was on a Sunday. I remember them analysing why all the housemates kept saying 'at the end of the day'.

They did, but very rarely, they had one, then it took a break, then it was brought back, on a Monday, and looked set to be a regular feature, but then just disappeared and didn't come back.

I was always interested in what the psych's had to say- it meant that BB retained a shred of psychological interest, especially when the housemates were more 'normal', as opposed to just being car crash TV.

I reckon they only put the analysis on last year when there wasn't much happening

I'm glad it's gone...it was misleading quackery (present company excepted)... They only had to mention a theory and it would become accepted as fact...

I still see highly intelligent FMs claiming that Sandy had a divide and rule gameplan based solely on one analysis segmant...because there was no other possible explanation for it...

Definitely bring back the Sunday night analysis show. If it's not back this year I will no longer have an excuse to watch BB. It was on for the first couple of weeks of BB6 but then they pulled it. Without the Sunday show BB is just a load of rubbish that pursues the lowest common denominator.

And what was the reason?

Because one housemate said it, they all adopted the expression and everybody soon began saying it. They then showed clips one after the other of each housemate saying 'At the end of the day...'

Thanks!

I'm unconvinced by that explanation, though. For one thing, some of them said it a lot more than others.

I agree with your comments. I think last years psych show was halted due to the extreme natures of most of last years hms! No psychologist worth their salt would go on TV and lie about their findings. I think last years hms were such an extreme bunch that C4 halted the show before too much 'madness' details were unleashed to the public.

Just to play devils advocate(although I might believe what I'm going to say is true which would be me playing devils advocate to my own devils advocate which I guess would make the initial playing devils advocate obsolete as it would have been over-rode by a secondary advocacy which would mean I would be essetially neither sincerely condoning nor condemming anything that I write)

But... isn't the psychologist show just like a normal show with a talking-head every five minutes stating the bloody obvious? If someone has crying then with my years of un-trained experience then I could probably gather that they're upset and it was probably the argument earlier on about the washing-up that caused the upset.

No, because sometimes they employ ridiculous theories instead.

Or just plain get it wrong.

I believe it was halted during BB5. One of the psychs walked off the show in protest at the bedsit, which of course led to Fight Night. If Endemol are playing with fire psychologically, most decent psychs won't want to put their name to the show.

Its a shame they stopped it as I enjoyed it. It was interesting to see how my own amateur analysis compared with theirs. I can understand why they wouldn't want to put their name to this show considering the extreme natures of the HMs in recent years and BB's tricks.

IIRC they didn't have a psych show on BB5 until the weekend immediately after Fight Night & it then continued for the remainder of the series.

That certainly seemed to be the turning point for the show. They didn`t exactly cancel it, instead they just stopped showing it every week.

Shame, as it was quite an interesting show.
