Barred phone?
My friend's boyfriend bought her a contract mobile but when they had a row he rang Vodafone and told them it was stolen. They split up but he said he had asked Vodafone to un-bar the phone as he had 'found it'. The phone still hasn't come back on. Is he lying? Is it possible to unbar a phone?? thanks

Its possible but Home Secretary David Blunkett introduced a new law making re-programming IMEI numbers punishable by up to five years in jail. View / Download the Mobile Phones (Reprogramming) Act 2002 here! This new law became active on the 4th October 2002

Vodafone will just unbar the phone.
If it has been found and no insurance claim has been made, then there is no problems. |
