Contestants will also be ENCOURAGED to forge secret alliances to maximise bitching and back-stabbing.”

I've always wanted nominations to not be a secret, so I like this idea! But at the trouble it'll cause! Also the 'survival' theme is obviously going to BB being nasty with food and also a 'battle' to stay in with all the bitchiness...

BOTH of those ideas are ridiculous and stupid. It is going all USA on us. It wont make good TV, BB6 was full of back stabbing, bitchy people so we are going to get a repeat?
Great! NOT

They did say they were pulling ideas from the US show in the articles.

Which is exactly why i think it is rubbish. What has been good about BB:UK is that ideas have been original, NOT copied. This is going to be terrible if it goes through...

I don't think these press stories are 100% official but I'd like to see them do it to see how different it makes the show, it's about time they pulled the carpet from under the housemates feet too, they're getting to savvy about how to survive.

If they encourage nominations people will eventually turn off, because it won't be something like"oh my god she just talked about nominating such and such"

And then people will get into arguments and form alliances and basically it'll just be another BB6. Great.

I don't think so because surely the tasks determining Head of House will mean they all have to try and pretend to be nice to eachother even if they can't stand someone?

I'm sure Endemol know what they are doing - there are big changes afoot though, what with the new timeslots, new themes, new rules etc lol

Until Davina is on her circular stage and about to walk into the new house I believe nothing.

*Unless Channel 4 have confirmed it*.

This is bad if it's true.

Last year they went into two camps early on, because of that stupid Makosi task to get them fighting, and it almost ruined the whole show.

I don't believe the rest but I do believe that the theme this year is survival. Which is interesting as BB has always been about surviving the experience.

If this is true (which I doubt) then that would make me happy!

I'd love to see a more strategic game rather than the "look at me...Aren't I fabulous?!!?" schenanigans of last year.

wont a group just pick of another group.. we could have a sceneraio where a saskia/max/craig/ant group pick off others...aaaargh

The housemates are too wanting of fame, and thatword Fabulous! Plus, they are cottoning onto evil BB. Big change needed.

BBUSA is fantastic!!

The fact that they can talk about who they are going to nominate puts a whole new slant on the BB premise.

The Head of Household competition is real nail biting stuff.

I really hope they decide to do it.....

Well enjoy watching that, then.

Let's not ruin our own version by Americanising it.

This is excellent news. Also, its a bit lame having discusiing nominations as a rule break because people always do it and it has no effect on anything.

I wouldn't believe any of these rumours at all. In fact, I would take "there will be big changes" with a pinch of salt. Every year since just before BB5 we always think there is going to be big changes, but nothing happens. The only thing that changes is the housemates. When BB5 launched, nothing had changed - the only thing that made it better than BB4 was the actual housemates. Then, everyone thought there would be big changes in BB6, but all we got was the unlucky housemate twist. I wouldn't hold your breath for any big changes - apart from the housesmates obviously.

I think the whole BB thing is getting pretty stale. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting bored of the whole attention-seeking contestant's year-in-year-out.

I think a major shake-up is necessary.

But I agree that any major changes to the format are doubtful because they will be fearful of alienating viewers.
