Hey cool link, nice interview with good old dermot

But he didn't like Science when he was in the house and he gave that impression at the time. The presenters should be impartial because that could sway votes.

yes all the presenters are quite biased (Russel is perhaps the least ).
Also for him to think that way about science initially makes me think he didnt actually watch that much footage.

There are two problems with that though. Half the people are complaining as it is that 'no one on BBLB ever says anything controversial they always stay in the middle' - so if D did start standing up then the other half the people would say 'he's supposed to be impartial'. The other thing I don't understand is why on earth it matters what anyone else besides yourself thinks If you like 'em that's all that counts

Very true, which goes to show how little he watches - the more I saw of Science LIVE, the more I got to like him .....

The thing is there are a lot of Dermot fans out there and they could be swayed by his opinions.

I watched live as much as I could humanly possiby watch and the more I watched, the more I couldn't stand Science - sorry, but disliking one person, doesn't necessarily mean that dermot wasn't watching.

What means he wasn't watching, or at least not paying much attention, was that there were things about Science (beyond his loud and argumentative aspects) that Dermot completely missed until Science had been evicted, even though evicted HMs tried to clue him in.

That, rather than disliking Science.

That's a pretty good interview. Dermot cut to the chase on a lot of the questions and came over quite well.

Yeah but would Dermot call Rodman an idiot to his face?

I'll fetch Dermot a step ladder

I recall him saying that he thought Science must be a nightmare to live with at times. Which clearly he was, and was trying to be for some of them.

Does that make it difficult to interview them and be civil to them?

Well, it’s interesting, because the people who you think you’re going to dislike sometimes turn out to be okay and vice versa. For example, Science was horrible when he was in the house – he was really nasty to a lot of people, and then he came out and I’ve never met a more polite, well-raised, humble man. He was a pleasure to meet, a genuinely nice chap

Science nasty ???
Loud obnoxious, yes definitely, but nasty?

At the end of that interview hes such a tease!!! Its really started to get me excited because everbody is staying tight lipped!

I wonder what the "something" special is I dont think its the HOH thing because Davina said on this morning that BB wasnt gonna be evil ALL year but that we wouldnt wanna watch housemates bitching ALL the time which would happen if that was introduced

Just confirms my long held impression that Dermot is a complete *rse.

It's beyond me how some people can like him.

Davina especially but even Dermot and Russell (and don't get me started on some of the celebrity guests they have) seem not to watch that much actual BB.
I'd say most people on here have full time jobs that take up most of the day and stil manage to watch loads of live coverage as well as the highlight shows, and contribute and read on here as well. The knowledge that the presenters have seems to be massively lacking. And thats been the case, and getting worse the last 3 years.

Thank god, someone who agrees with me. Couldn't present his way out of a paper bag. Got the charisma of a half-eaten cucumber sandwich.

In the last few years I would totally agree with you. He's become a watered down personality with a pathetic kiddies show.
Hopefully going back to E4 he can grab hold of the show and get back to what made it great.

I just read that. Dermot said Science was nasty in the house? Er, no. He was shouty, witty, honest and always himself. Difficult to live with yes, but nasty? What planet is that half-wit Dermot on? Does he watch the programme?

Well I hope you're not very tall as I hear he's a virtual midget. Does anyone know actually how tall he is, as a matter of utterly shallow interest?

I don`t think stealing Derek`s cigar was particularly a great thing to do. It was rather nasty IMHO.
