Should rewards be more 'TV friendly'?

I like the tasks they do usually and it is quite fun to see if they pass them or not but from a viewers point of view the rewards the housemate gets are quite rubbish. I mean, I don't see how I'm supposed to get excited about them potentially winning £5-ahead rather than £1 for shopping.

So I think the rewards should be something that is a reward for them but also a visual reward for us. You know, something that would be entertaining for us to watch as well as being a reward for them.

They tried to do that in CBB4, giving them parties and at one stage some silly gifts which led to a little mayhem.

Yes, but the those rewards lead to other TV Friendly events. If they get the money, they get booze which can lead to absolutely anything, if they don't get money then that leads to friction.

Although I hope food won't become a big an issue as it did last series.

In theory the fact that they do or do not get theri shopping dictates the entertainment that you are going to get in the week ahead - lots of money usually equals lots of booze, usually equals lots of arguments. No money, all very hungry, lots of arguments. So yes you are right.

I've said for ages that they should forget about the whole shopping thing. Give them plenty to eat and drink, but mess with their heads in other ways to get entertainment. I am fed up of all the discussions re food.
