For a while now people have suggested that Cindy did not die in prison and would refeul eastenders. It seems that Kathy Beale is officially dead now. There was some great moments between the two.
Ian's current girlfriend reminds me a bit of Kathy and so I was wondering if indeed Cindy were ever to somehoe return, should Cindy fight Jane?

The Dirty den/Lazarus act was pretty hard to swallow,EE would have to give up any pretence of serious 'gritty drama' and go down the FW/Dallas /Sunset Beach road to pull off a resurrection of Cindy.

EE would never take the risk of bringing a character back from the dead. What would be the point? Cindy may have died off-screen but there would be no reason for her to fake her death and stay low for 8 years.

Don't really know, sorry. In regards to my earlier question, do you think in the unlikely event that cindy were ever to return, would a fight or dispute between cindy and jane be worth watching. I feel it would remind viewers of the stormy relationship between Cindy and Kathy.

I think it'd be unfair to pit Jane against Cindy.

Cindy needs an evil opponant.
Like Chrissy.

Chrissie vs Cindy, Oh that would be heaven. Kathy wasn't really evil though was she. She was just heartless when she slept with Grant and expected Phil to leave with her at the last minute.

I think Jane could more than stand her ground agaist Cindy. If she wasnt scared of both mitchell brothers, then she wouldnt be intimidated by her.Janes not evil, sure, but she is very feisty when riled

I take it you are being ironic Steve? EE tried it recently and lost (whatever) credibilty it had left.

The Sun claimed that Cindy's return to the Square was that she'd been in a witness protection scheme for years and hadn't died on the operating table as had been believed. She'd return to EE as the criminal(s) had all died and her evidence was no longer required.

Ho hum......

Still though,Jane isnt as evil as Cindy.

Chrissie had more balls then both of the Mitchells.
Id just love to see Chrissie Versus Cindy.

And a tleastt If Cindy was brought back,it would be a billion times more plausible then Den,as we didnt see her "die"

This seems a bit wierd. Kathy was Ian's mother, not his lover...

When you were mentionning Chrissie earlier i just thought of Chrissie getting it together with Ian - now that would be a scary relationship!!!!!!!

I'm so Glad Jake hasn't left LOVE HIM!! I am glad that they paired Jane with Grant and not Phil - that would be too predictable!

I think it could work if EE brought Cindy back, but they would have to wait a little longer as it would be unrealistic do do another 'Lazarus' act so soon after Den.

Cindy v Chrissie- Fabulous

I realize that, I just think they are similar because they are both feisty, would win an argument with anyother woman and would both support Ian. I feel since Kathy's death Jane has become more like Kathy.
Also I would love to see Cindy again (even though it is very unlikely) because I consider Cindy as Walford's first official female villain, although Donna Ludlow came first, she certainly wasn't evil.

I would love to see Cindy back. She was excellent character. Killing her off was a big mistake and so unneccesary.

I've just remembered that Cindy had a daughter also named Cindy. As much as I would love Michelle Collins to return it would seem more realistic if in a few years Cindy junior showed up and definately have some of her mother's characteristics, Lucy seems the opposite to her mother and so it would seem out of character for her to turn on Jane.

Yeah but Cindy only ever got herself in such a mess because she wanted the kids off Ian. So I find it hardly unlikely she would go into witness protection and leave her newborn baby. They could have just said both died and she could have taken the baby with her if that was the case.

I think I have thought of an idea... What if Cindy Junior's granmother and aunt died and she came to live with Ian as he did originally want custody of her.
Cindy Junior acts alot like her mother and then starts to ask Peter and Lucy what their mum was like.
Jane notices that Ian act differently around Cindy Junior and asks ifhe misses Cindy, to which point he decides to tell Jane the truth - Cindy became clinically depressed in prison and was forced to give up the child, it was afterwards that she underwent the witness protection program. Ianalso gave her a restraining order to keep her away from the children incase she endangered their lives too.
Perhaps Cindy would later return once she was safe and want custody of her youngest daughter therefore reuniting both Cindys.
Still too drastic I know, but hey, we all have imaginations.

This could also mean that Peter and Lucy could be outraged that their father lied to them, and Jane and Cindy could meet and clash over Cindy Junior and who's the better woman for Ian. teeheehee

I don't think Ian did want custody as I think I can remember him actually feeling guilty that he wasn't willing to take her on.

From what I can remember he did want to look after the child but then decided he just couldn't and felt guilty.
Would that story work? - about Cindy Junior's grandmother and aunt dying and so on?

Yeah i agree. She makes me laugh because she has a lot of funny one liners and she is very sarcastic and Kathy was like that. i saw an old xmas episode on uktv gold and Phil cheated on her with a foreign woman and then went round to Kathy's later and brought the woman with him and Kathy called her 'old foreign face' i was in fits!! It was just the way she said it!! As for Jane vs Cindy it would be good but they can't bring Cindy back from the dead it would be so ridiculous if they did.

I'm not sure hw knew what he wanted at that time. At first, he was asserting his rights as Cindy's husband to have the baby, but then Cindy's sister wanted her because she couldn't have kids and I an thought it was best all round in the end.

Thanks, that foreign woman was Phil's first wife Nadia, he married her just so she could stay in the country although he really loved Kathy and she loved him too.

Why then did Cindy leave behind Lucy but take Peter and Stephen when she fled the country? Imagine Cindy was still alive and wanted to seek forgiveness from Lucy but Lucy would rather have Jane as a mother figure.
