ITV Give In To EastEnders? Emmerdale related
Sorry to start a thread on this but I noticed in another thread Emmerdale have two episodes on Thursday May 18th instead of what they normally do with head to heads it looks like this:
Emmerdale 7.00pm EastEnders 7.30pm Emmerdale 8.00pm http://www.radiotimes.com/ListingsSe...stingsFormat=G What has made ITV do this? |

I'm glad it's not clashing with EE anyway. |

Shit. Just looked at that listed grid and realised The Street on BBC One clashes with the BB launch show and I can only ever tape the channel I'm watching
anyway I'm pleased ITV have at least for now stopped these silly ratings games.

ITV are preparing to go head-to-head with C4 over the Summer, with a bunch of naff reality TV shows on the way to try and compete with BB. Expect the soaps to be shifted around the schedules in whatever way ITV see fit in the meantime.

I dont no why they have to da that I mean the BBC and Five dont care do they. It simple make programs aimed at a different audiance and you will still get good ratings

I seriously doubt Emmerdale requested to go head to head with EastEnders. It's down to ITV and nobody else. |

So is anything remotely decent happening in Emmerdale that night? It will make a nice change compared to recent episodes if there is.

Just looked at the upcoming episode psynopsis for Corrie and notice they are putting their Wednesday 16th episode on Tuesday 15th 7.30pm, presumably for football. Is this correct?

It's naive of ITV to think that people care about The Bill enough to stay watching through the whole hour to watch when every other channel will likely have something better on at 9pm, in particular The Street on BBC ONE and Big Brother of Channel 4.

Apparantly its wrong, according to other sources (i forget which now) there's no wednesday eppy and there's a double bill on friday instead.

Sounds good, it may give Emmerdale the chance to see what ratings it would get when in a decent timeslot.
