Keane - Is It Any Wonder?
I love this song at the moment.
![]() I saw the video exclusive on Channel 4, and have seen their video on music TV today, but it's a different video. Did they make two videos for the song? |

"i love this song at the moment" - that is the trouble with Keane, their music lacks longevity.
From a first couple of weeks listen of their last album, i was relatively pleased with it, but after that, i've not had ANY desire to play it since. I hope their follow up doesn't suffer from this. |

Excellent new song and quite brave of them to re invent themselves and try something new.

I was actually quite shocked when I first heard this record (downloading off a french radio station at 8am on the morning before its first play on radio 1- i couldn't wait that long, how sad am i) it was really unexpected sound coming from them. It took me quite a while to get used to the change but this song has totally grown on me and I love it. Tim, Tom and Rich have a massive hit on their hands there and I for one, hope it gets to the top spot and Under The Iron Sea repeats the success of Hopes and Fears and more. And from the reviews of it I have read so far (lucky buggers got a promo cd) it shall.

I think Atlantic is a far better track than 'Is it any wonder' but it's not as commercial. Looking forward to the album, great to see they seem to be experimenting. |

I didn't really like Keane from what I heard of their first album, but I have to say I really like the two new singles. It's great to hear them doing an upbeat track for a change with is it any wonder, and Atlantic is also an excellent track, but more in an artistic than commercial way

Why is everyone pinning the U2 label to them? It's as if one person said it and everyone's mimicking! It really ruins music when people have to keep pairing it up with "It sounds just like..."

I keep going back to Hopes and Fears and I have to totally disagree that it lacks longevity. These boys got the attention because they deserved it, unlike so many of the other overhyped 2004 albums.
I saw the tail end of the "rollercoaster" video the other night. What other one is there? D |

Atlantic is the 1 where some guy is wandering around a beach and comes across lots of different people- its shot in black and white and was directed by Irvine Welsh- which explains why it is so dark.

It's a great return - i was into Keane during their struggling 'Fierce Panda' days and to be honest once the masses got hold of them they became too damn overplayed on the radio that I got fed up of them!
I will look forward to the new album though! |
