I've just been looking on Channel 4's website at the list.
Two there that definitely weren't just from a quick scan "Joe Le Taxi" by Vanessa Paradis. She had a hit a few years later called 'Be My Baby' - I bought it. "The One And Only" by Chesney Hawkes. He had a follow up since, "I'm a Man Not A Boy" which definitely charted. Lazy C4 research

I'd have to go for Your Woman by White Town which amazingly didn't feature last night but late 70's dance/disco was the era of some fantastic one-hit wonders Space - Magic Fly Funkadelic - One Nation Under a Groove McFadden and Whitehead - Ain't no stoppin' us now Rodney Franklin - The Groove etc etc Don't think anyone remembers (or wants to remember) these songs now - I still love them though |

"Be My Baby" reached number 6. Both inside the top 40. One inside the top 10. Hardly "top 75" hits. And don't most artists have one "career defining" hit? |
