Help me buy a £100(ish) camera phone.
ok i really know nothing about this so i come begging for your expert help.
I need a camera phone for work. The main thing i need is a pretty decent pic quality (is this possible for cheap?) (and no i cant just use a digital camera) It has to be PAYG, and on virgin or have the ability to be unlocked. anything else im not really bothered about. I would like it to be around £100 but a little under or over wont really matter. thanks in advance |

If you're willing to go second hand on ebay you can pick up a Sony K750i for about £100.
Without speding hundreds thats as good a camera on a phone as you're likely to get. With £100 budget I can't really see you getting anything else even close to that good. It has a 2mp auto-focus camera. As standard, outdoor shots are pretty good. Indoor are OK but not brilliant. You can add a proper flash unit to it to replace the LED flash but thats extra money ..... |

I've never had to read the manual for any Nokia phone I've owned and the 6230i is no exception. Its £129.99 (on orange) if you buy it from carphonewarehouse, and its already unlocked as cpw use sim free stock ![]() http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/com...Model=NOK6230I |

I have been playing around with a SonyEricsson V600i that my work issued me with for a couple of days.
OK its a bit bulkier than a clamshell but its well specified for the money (£80) with a good camera, FM Radio, Bluetooth and enough memory if you just want to keep a few tunes and some pics on it. Its 3G too and Videocall quality is excellent. On Vodafone PAYG with Stop the Clock you can get lots of off-peak minutes for your cash on this handset. Well worth a look! |

I need a camera phone for work. Why can you not use a digital camera, out of interest? The main thing i need is a pretty decent pic quality (is this possible for cheap?) (and no i cant just use a digital camera) A pic from a decent branded camera around £100 will be much better than one taken on a camera phone. |

Taken with my 6230i a few weeks ago....seems pretty reasonable for a camera phone i think.....
http://home.btconnect.com/fd1/Image024.jpg http://home.btconnect.com/fd1/Image035.jpg http://home.btconnect.com/fd1/Image052.jpg ....but as someone else suggested, you may want to look at digital cameras instead of a camera phone. |

Your comments illustrate a perfect lack of knowledge. Just see the pics, look at the spec and tell me how it is over priced. Try to come up with reasons, phones in the same price bracket which are better for example. Also, the 6230i has some of the best features, not only that but the UI is the most friendly and easiest/quickest to understand. Also, considering the size of the phone, the screen is the perfect size.....and the largest it could have been. |
