In all this confusion I've forgotten why I popped in here......... Oh, yes....... a warning...... did some more work on that slideshow and if the test run goes okay tomorrow I'm hoping it'll have it's premier too. So keep everything crossed.

So the time has come to release a new slideshow onto an unsuspecting world. Along the way it’s been dissected, demolished, blown up and generally ripped to pieces before being reborn again and again. Although the last time it was more regurgitation than birth! Anyway, I hope it's been worth the effort.

I’m not going to write much about the show, I’m sure you’d rather just watch it…. but a big hug and my thanks to Imogen, who put a lot of energy into it and really gave it everything she had…. by the end she just didn’t know what she was doing anymore.

So here it is. Called, “Imogen Thomas - It’s Sentimental Too”….. just in case anyone has doubts.

Well they do say never make a sequel when the first one was good enough!!

........and calling it "Sentimental Too" you have set yourself up in competition with past glories of the first one. On the plus side I did enjoy seeing many new shots of Imogen which I haven't seen before. And it did prompt me to revisit "Sentimental Journey" again which I enjoyed watching all over again. So to summarize this was a good effort which did not quite reach the mark of the first one. I'm sorry if this has been brutally honest but I would expect exactly the same from you about my efforts. Infact I have now had second thoughts about making another video untill new photo's of Imogen come forward.

I really would be a genius if it had turned out to be another Sentimental Journey! As that had used up all the best story telling material my expectations obviously weren't as high as yours. Mind you I've never seen it as a sequel. Just bonus stuff - alternate scenes, deleted scenes and bloopers - like you find on dvd's. I just found more on the cutting room floor than I expected and I couldn't let them be lost forever!

I'm not that keen on the title either but in the end I chose it to make sure people knew my heart was in the right place. You might have been wonderig after the first couple of minutes... and the ending! The other title I was toying with was "Imogen Thomas - Any Excuse For A Slideshow." I might upload it again with that title(?) as I've just noticed all the pans, zooms and the fadeout look a little jerky on this youtube upload. Any alternate title ideas you,ve got are very welcome too.

Having worked so hard on this slideshow I have to say that I'm disappointed with your review. You've no idea how hard I had to fight with myself.... to get some slightly more up to date music into the soundtrack! And you didn't even notice!

Don't have second thoughts for too long about another Imogen slideshow. You need to get a move on.... it's only 11 months 'till her birthday!

Edit: Logged onto my pc as a different user and apart from the fadeout stopping early the youtube vid is better. So perhaps I won't upload it again. Might still change it's name though.

You know what, I am going to totally contradict myself now and say on second viewing your video is much better than I intially thought. (I must have had my Barry Norman head on yesterday or something?) And yes I did notice all the hard work you put into it and the more upto date music of Olivia Newton-John and the Carpenters etc....

I suppose I just missed out on the storytelling of "Sentimental Journey" and was expecting the same with this one. Once that disappointment was over I could appreciate the work you have done and there are genuinely good moments in this video montage of Imogen. So a Revised 4 Stars from me.

What can I say but its quality over quantity in my book and you must have more spare time on your hands than me.

I am coming around to your new title now, maybe the third one could be "Sentimental Twee - Done with a Lisp"


You may have read this elsewhere on the forum but Imogen is in this weeks MORE Magazine with the twins and Saskia dressed up as the cast from 'Sex in the City'.
Maybe worth a look for a laugh!!(Well, it can't be as bad as the Ugly Betty photo shoot can it? )

Now that's more like the Macauley I've grown to respect. I really did try to please you with the music. The most recent recording was actually from this year! A reworking of a 1965 classic!.... you didn't think I'd give in that easily did you?


Nice to hear that you think it has it's good moments. I did have my doubts for a long time. But I did know there was a moment of genius in there....and Imogen did that bit herself!


And I thought I was providing quality and value for money!

Finally found some scans of Imogen' s Sunday Star Christmas set. To be on the safe side I'm not going to link directly to them. (When I found them last night there were some very explicitly active adverts at the top of the page. They're not there now but I'm playing it safe.)

With a big thank you to spiritualyouth who scanned them, I've got them on imageshack. I did quickly try a little bit of manipulation on them to give them a 'cleaner' look but I'm not sure how successful it's been. So I'll link to the originals too. You can then go with the option you like best.

Oh...Nearly forgot. Saw More magazine today and it's pretty good recreation of the Sex and the City film still. With Imogen as Miranda. Now that picture I can scan myself.... if it's wanted.

Verrrrry Niceeeee. We weren't that far off about Imogen being dressed in a Miss Santa outfit?...(or the lack of it!), but I am a little disappointed there was no baubles involved in this photo shoot. The third picture is definitely my favourite with Imogen nice and relaxed with her naughty ASS-P back on show (damn this Lisp!!!).

As I have said before Grooooose you never fail to confuse me in your posts.

It was nice to see the SUN hadn't gone down the bitchy route when reporting this story. Which the tabloids often do when lifting a story from a rival paper. So thumbs up to the SUN for a nice report about Imogen.

One definition of bauble gives us this, "adornment - a decoration of colour or interest that is added to relieve plainness." Seems they were right not to use them. Although a nice tinsel scarf might have been nice. It must have been cold lying in that snow!

The City Girls

This is a good re-creation of that Sex and the City picture. They even used the originals' background. Could Imogen the fiery redhead, be her next new look?

You know what. I wasn't expecting them to make Imogen the redhead out of Sex and the City, which is totally against type, surely....?

But as we got to see in BB7, Imogen can carry off any look with aplomb and she does look mighty fine as a Redhead too.

I wonder if she is parting some advice to the twins about the January Sales for Dolce & Gabbana handbags.

So who were you expecting? Not sure which role I was expecting Imogen to play. But Miranda is quite a good one. In the early years of the show Miranda was the most career minded and by the end of the shows' run she was the first of the girls to buy her own home. Wasn't she also the one Carrie coud turn to for the most sensible and well thought out advice?

Not that More woud have thought deeply on the matter. They would have just seen Imogen + short hair = Miranda.


I'd like to think she was giving advice too.... But then again the January Sales are a war zone. Maybe she's handing out disinformation and clearing her path to the best source of her beloved D&G goodies. You should never stand between a girl and her D&G!

I know I promised to post "Imogen's 2008 Calendar" in time for Christmas, but I thought it might be a cool idea instead to go for the slow reveal over the whole year, and post one page on the first of every month. If this idea is not universally popular on here then let me know and I will make sure the whole thing is posted before the New Year.

There's nothing at all wrong with the slow reveal idea. I think there are some celebs who produce a calendar for their fans, and release the images month by month on their websites. It also means that should a more suitable image appear for an upcoming month you will have the option of changing it.

So.... that's now a Birthday Treater and a Calendar Maker.....what's next in line to help with our Imogen Appreciation?

I think you must have read my mind here because I have tended to use all of Imogen's best shots again in this Calendar, so at least this way it does leave things open to add brand new images at the last moment.

Well...... I have given some thought to IMOGEN T-Shirts, Banners and Stickers...... but in retrospect they can be quite naff and something you would see on other Appreciation Sites :sleep: .......so I think my Imogen Treats will suffice for now.

I had a strange dream about Ims, last night

I found myslef alone, wondering around Newport After walking and walking, i came across a large crowd standing by the roadside. I asked what was going on and was told that they were having a Carnival with all all money raised going to support Wallsall FC
who were on the verge of going bankrupt.
A few mins later the Carnival floats started to arrive, and i noticed the lovely Imogen was on one of them, parading around in some sexy skimpies
All seemed fine, until a couple of drunken louts started to hurl abuse at our girl, shouting at her to f---k off back to London, where you belong. adding that she no longer cares about Wales or the Welsh, now that she's rich and famous This led onto some others in the crowd shouting support for Imogen, saying "take no notice of them Imogen, we still love you!" Then all hell let lose as a massive fight broke out between the Imogen supporters and the louts.

Not the kind of dream i'd like to have about Imogen but better than nothing, i suppose.

Well I'm back. It's nice to be here again, nestling in the warm bosom of the Imogen Appreciation Thread. Hope everyone's had a good Christmas.


Well you're one up on me.... I've never dreamt about Imogen in her skimpies.... What's wrong with me?
And who won the fight? Supporters or Louts? Did you fight or were you a conscientious objector? Did you jump on the float to be Imogen's bodyguard? Was Wallsall saved?.... Hmmmm..... So many questions.... Maybe I should get my own Imogen dream!

I don't know about you but I always enjoy a good street scrap once in a while!!...... in fact I might even breakout the water cannon and hose down those suckers. Especially after Imogen has braved the freezing cold in her skimpy knick-knacks to help save their Wallsall FC..... O.K. that part was only a dream because I don't think anyone could save them.

It has been a good but very busy Christmas for me, and a constant battle with my three younger nephews over my computer because they have now become addicted to the internet game called "Runescape". If I hear the theme music to that game once more I will scream and put my foot through the computer screen. So yeah.....just another family Christmas around my house.

Noooo Groooose?? I wasn't thinking in terms of pet food!!.......more the small but perfectly formed presents you find under the tree which promise something very expensive inside.

Just remember that family life will turn full circle. Hopefully in the future there will be some little Macauley's for you to send out to the relatives..... and get your revenge!!


Now don't be rude about Scooby Snacks!!! Pet food indeed! Remember that Shaggy eats them too..... oh..... OK, maybe you're right! But it was never made clear in the cartoon exactly what the snacks were. I think the makers always thought of them as being toffee flavoured cookies. Mmmm, nice.

Think I might have strayed of topic slighty so to get myself back in line.... I wonder if Imogen likes Scooby?

I've been trying to remember if the pictures from Imogen's OK pieces ever got scanned by someone and put onto the web. If not, could that be a new project for me?

I can see the very thought of more Macauley's being out there one day fills you with fear and dread.

A little uneasy at the prospect maybe. But there isn't a heavy cloud of fear hanging over me..... Unless we're related...... Oh GOD!!! Please say we're not! I don't think I could cope with a pack of mini-Macauley's at Christmas! It's hard enough with the relatives I've already got.


This is going to show up how bad I am at describing fashion.

Imogen's first outing included a pic of her wearing a striking blue strapless dress, with a red band around the top with a bow at the front. This outfit was nicely finished off with red shoes and red bracelets. There was also a strapless 'leopard print' number used at this session too.

The second outing did have a picture of Imogen sat on a table, in a Monroe style white dress, with a chandelier above her. Plus one of your favourite shots, with her lying on a tiled floor. I know unpublished shots from this shoot surfaced, but did the magazine ones?

Don't worry Groooose we are not related ......in fact the only thing we have in common is that we both like Imogen (well it can't be music!).......which I think makes us kindred spirits who are bound together if we like it or not.

O.K Groooose feel free to scan away!.......(like I was going to stop you anyway) it would be interesting after seeing the unpublished images, which one's they chose for the magazine. I was glad to hear that my favourite shot was included though.

I have posted the title page again on ImageaVenue because the kind people on Photobucket thought the image was too risque for their site and deleted it. As you can probably see I have gone for the traditional calendar look with all the days of the week etc.....but I am open to constructive criticism if you would like to see a different more avant-guarde look?.......This photo I decided to use was strangely overlooked from her "Birthday Treat"(?)......but still a good enough image to start the Year off with a sexy Imogen pout!!

Don't expect them to appear too quickly. Being larger than an A4 scanner the magazine can require multiple scans and a bit of stitching together to get the complete picture.


The calendar has helped... but I think I'm still suffering from the night before. As if seeing in the New Year isn't enough the 31st is my birthday too. Sometimes that's just too much celebrating!

There's nothing wrong with this traditional calendar look and I've already started ticking off the days till February's appearance.... but you have now got me intrigued by mentioning an avant-guarde look. Is there a little promo somewhere?

I hope you're not feeling guilty about leaving that image out of Imogen's Treat. You had to leave some material for the next show!

Why didn't you tell me it was your birthday?.....I would have done a "Birthday Treat" for you (Perhaps a montage of your favourite sayings ) Oh well, at least I have a whole 12 months to think of something next time which sounds about right.

No I don't have any promo's to show......I have iPhoto plus 4 which has about ten different Calendar templates and one of them is called avant-guarde. But seriously, I tried different looks and thought the traditional style was the best and the most functional too. I may have to change things around in the future anyway to suit the different sized images. So watch this space......


Well, I'm rapidly running out of images here, so I think Imogen will have to get a move on and do some more photo shoots this year.....thats if she wants more of my Imogen Treats !!
