PAP2 with voip.co.uk Ring Duration

I am using a PAP2 with www.voip.co.uk and have disabled the voicemail service (at the ww.voip.co.uk control panel) so that it will picked up from my answerphone which is cheaped and more convenient.

However now after a few rings and before my answerphone kicks in the rings stop.

Do you think there is something i need to change on the pap2 or with my voip provider (www.voip.co.uk)?

How did you disable the voicemail service? It's possible (but don't quote me on this!) that voip.co.uk are still applying the timeout but just not routing your call to voicemail at the timeout point.

I got around their voicemail by increasing the timer so that the answering machine kicked in first. Voicemail is still there - and will still work if the net access fails or I'm on the phone already.
