The BBC website has been updated here.

'The Tardis is trapped on a parallel Earth and Rose discovers that her father is still alive, as the award-winning Doctor Who continues. But sinister forces are at work, and British society is being prepared for the Ultimate Upgrade. Meanwhile, an old enemy of the Doctor's is about to be reborn'

This is so exciting. I think the next two episodes are going to be truly classic Doctor Who. I do wonder if this means the only Cybermen we will see in Doctor Who from now on will be those from Earth-2 (or whatever this parallel Earth is going to be called) or if the original Mondas Cybermen make a come back.

I do think it is clever that they are giving them a new origin, basically.

It's disappointing age of steel is being bumped for eurovision- Empty Child suffered a drop in ratings on the same weekend last year. Could someone put 6.40pm in bold on the DS frontpage or something?

The two strands of continuity can actually be reconciled but it requires Alt-Earth to somehow jump realities and become Mondas ...

No, it's on 20 minutes early, 6.40pm. However this did hurt ratings quite a bit last year.

It is really annoying how its being shifted around every week !
Although nothing can really be done about this particular week as Eurovision is live and cant be on at any other time.
- They could of shoved Eurovision on BBC2, BBC3, BBC4... Would anyone really be that devastated if it wasnt on BBC1

So this next episode is part 1 of a two parter? Always love the 2 parter, lets the characters be fleshed out and build the tension throughout the first part with the "resoultion" being done in the 2nd episode. The Empty Child and The Doctor Dances were two of my favourites last year! Bring on the Cybermen?

Spoiler
Is "Trigger" a baddie or a "goody"? Somehow can't imagine him being bad...

Spoiler
Think he is a baddie as he is responsible for creating the Cybermen on the alternate Earth.

I was hoping that Trigger has somehow got hold of original Cyberman blue prints, rather than is creating them from scratch.
Remember that Van Stratten had an old-style Cyberman head in his collection, so they must have had some existance in our universe?

6.40pm???

Oh for f*ck's sake.

The ratings are obviously going to suffer.
Doctor Who should be a set fixture.
Shunting it around is only letting the viewers down, and loses them viewers.
So why on earth do they insist on putting live shows on either before it or after?

6.40pm...this might mean that this particular episode gets the lowest ratings since it's comeback.

They should move Doctor Who back to the Autumn/Winter schedule back in a regular slot where hopefully it wouldn't get shunted around so much.

wrong, in the RT, RLP says that he's a kind of evil genius who's creating an army of Cybermen to make himself immortal

BTW is John Lumic in a wheelchair, if so won't that bugger up bringing Davros back - 2 wheelchair bound villians in a series
