TESCO internet phone with SKYPE ??

Hi there,

could anybody tell me if the TESCO INTERNET PHONE will work okay with SKYPE ??? as tesco have reduced the price of the starter pack. im not intrested in the tescos service just the phone as its cheap.

Yes it will. This is a generic handset and the software to allow it to be used with Skype and other services like VOIPStunt can be found at the importer's website.

Check out the details here: www.yamamoto-group.co.uk

(Drivers for Skype etc are in the download section on the left hand pane of the homepage).

Yep - due to Tesco's awful software (or at least the latest patch - the phone won't work properly i.e you can't dial!) we switched to sipgate which works fine. And we got a local number.

Phone works a dream with the generic software wavejock suggested.

We bought the Tesco phone today, and couldn't get it to dial, however, a full uninstall using the add/remove program thing rather than the bundled uninstaller solved it.

Cheers, just picked up one of these phone for £15.97, gonna use the free £5 credit up then just use skype with the CALLME drivers.

The "horse's mouth" for these drivers appears to be http://www.yealink.com/en/otherdown.asp incidentally (thanks wavejockglw for pointing them out though)
