T-Mobile UK confirms VoIP ban
T-Mobile UK believes VoIP isn't sufficiently consistent or capable of providing calls of a high enough quality calls to be allowed into its mobile phone network, the carrier said to day in response to revelations it has effectively banned the technology from its latest data-oriented airtime package.

So what they are actually saying is, either a) they don't have enough network capactiy for people to be using these services or the more likely b) they want to restrict these services to stop people getting a cheaper deal on their calls and keeping in touch.
It has nothing to do with service quality in my opinion, because if it did why would they ban it. They would simply say it doesn't work properly on the network. I use IM on my T-Mobile sim, wonder if their going to disconnect me, bring it on lol. |

So what they are really saying is that Voip and IM work on their network mobiles, and that customers could save a bundle by using it, and they are scared stiff of that!!!
