What hardware?
I am looking to get some kit that will allow me to use my DECT cordless phone over IP but also to be able to receive calls on said phone via my normal landline number?
Any know or can recommend any? |

There is one other made by Draytek - however I'm only mentioning this so you are aware to avoid their products, and in particular BroadbandBuyer.co.uk who I had to ask my credit card company to intervene because they would not give me money back I was entitled to.
The Draytek router I had does exactly what you are describing, but for VOIP calls it dropped them between 40-50 seconds and randomly rebooted itself upon an incoming call. This is a known problem with lots of people reporting similar issues on their boards. Many of my complaints posted on their boards, of course, mysteriously got deleted by an overly-defensive admin team! Seems they don't want others to know how many have problems! |

I've just bought a Linksys SPA 3000, Works very well with PSTN and VoIP.. Shows CLI of calls to your BT line.. And if you are on a SIP call PSTN calls will come through on call waiting.
Cost about £66. You can also set it, so you can call your landline no, have it pick up after 40 seconds or so, and play a tone, you then enter in a PIN, and make a VoIP call Or you call your VoIP number, and do the same, but make a call from your PSTN

Hey Sean2003. Where did you get the SPA3000 ? Is it branded Linksys or Sipura ? Sipura website seem to have firmware updates and Linksys nothing. I want to get a SPA3000 but bit worries I'll get a unit I can't update.

They are exaclty the same things, board inside is same, firmware used is same. Just the linksys one has a nicer looking external case, in my opinion I have the linksys |

Thanks
Time to upgrade from my PAP2 I think. PAP2 was pretty neat but I like the idea of using multiple services on one handset.

I've never had any problems with BroadbandBuyer, but then I've never had problems with eBuyer either.
I use a PAP2 as I have no PSTN. |
