Ok its old hat, but does anyone remember the "Street sounds Electro" albums?
If so, what were the tracks that stood out for you or remind you of anything.?

For me its "Jam on it" by Newcleus.
Listened to it the other day and couldnt help laughing at myself as i remembered those sad sad school disco's...doing the backspin and drinking "panda shandy"

Yes I remember them very well I went to a lot of trouble 3/4 years ago to get Electro 1,2,3 and 4 on vynal

I have so many favourites but I think it would have to be Run DMC Suker MC's and the mix into Breaking in Space

I'll never forget the carpet burn I got on my face trying to do a windmill in the front room, my foot caught the gas fire and it was F.U.B.A.R

Oh to be a 16 year old breakdancer again

I have all the electros on vinyl - yay me!

Used to listen to them non stop when i was 14-19 when they came out.

I have always loved 'broadway' I'll have to find out who did it

it's the one that goes 'broadway, talk of the town, from the top to the bottom everybody gets down'

[EDIT it was 'Duke Bootee' apparantly]

Also UTFO - Roxanne!!

Ones i hated: Egyptian Lover - I love my house

and... I'm wincing even thinking about it - Star RAID!!!!! God I hated that song!!

I would say electro crucial 3 was my most listend to album of the 80s without a doubt
