T-Mobile Web 'n Walk - Compatable Handsets
I just changed my T-Mobile tarif over to the FlexT Web 'n Walk. After going through all the contract details (with a very helpful operator,I must say) I asked if it was possible for them to text through the settings for web access. The guy took the details of my phone (a P910i) and put me on hold. He returned saying that I was unable to use Web 'n Walk with my handset.
I was a bit dissapointed but I'm due an upgrade in July so didn't think too much of it, I can wait till then. It was only after I finished the call with them I wondered why my P910i won't work with this tarif. Anybody know ? Just curious really.

Cheers for the reply. I actually ended up not adding the web and walk onto the plan (seemed pointless if they claimed it wouldn't work). But I might add it back on and try. I reckon I can stand the £7.50 loss if it doesn't work.
I was just struggling to understand why it supposedly won't work with my phone. I know some of the phones they list as working aren't 3G (like the HTC Wizard) |

I know some of the phones they list as working aren't 3G (like the HTC Wizard) I checked on the t-mobile website and they show a Nokia N70 as one of the phones available on the web n' walk plan. That phone has a Symbian OS, so it can't be because your P910 isn't a Windows OS based phone. Perhaps you could see if your local t-mobile shop has a web n' walk enabled sim to test in the p910? |

Web'n'Walk handsets have optimised software (browser etc). The Web'n'Walk tariff is just a means of giving you unlimited data (with a fair use poliy).
The settings above are just the usual 3G/GRPS settings. Make this your homepage and give it a try. http://www.t-mobile-favourites.co.uk/en/index.jsp |
