Does anyone else agree that the wheelchair bound creator of the Daleks Davros should come back in the new series of Doctor Who?

No no no no!

Edit: Sorry. But, please, no! Davros was killed off in Genesis. That was an excellent story, but the point was they killed him off. By ressurrecting, him they then ruined the whole point.

Besides, the Daleks were always better as original monsters deciding their own fate, rather than serving some deranged lunatic. This is pretty sad, but i used to feel quite strongly about this!

If you want an evil genius mastermind ressurrecting, why not campaign for the return of The Master!

eh? No he wasn't killed off, he appeared right up until the last Dalek story in the original series, Genesis is a Tom Baker story.

Yes you are right but what i mean was he was originally killed off in Genesis of the Daleks.

And he should have stayed killed off. But the revisionist writers of the late 70's and 80's brought him back to life with a paper thin excuse thereby ruining the whole point of Genesis and devaluing all the subsequent Dalek stories,.

I'm with you all the way on this one. No Davros in the new series, thankyou very much.

I say let the Daleks retain their menace instead of playing second fiddle to him!

Agreed! The only reason I would even consider bringing him back is to ensure that Davros is killed off..permanently with no ambiguity to his fate.

Unless the Daleks are in Doomsday then they are a shoe in for the Christmas special

Nope, sorry - Davros is dead, Daleks have gone bye-bye.

The one I want to see is the Master !!!

Shame Anthony Head is out of the equation now - he'd have been perfect!

Do you think Max Von Sydow would be up for it?

The Daleks have gone no where. Its only a matter of time before they are back

Absolutely. They're just too big.

I wouldn't mind seeing The Master back as well.

I would like to see Davros back if they could come up with a suitable explanation for it. I mean, he has been killed off twice now.

IMDB is put together on public submissions and has been known to get things extremely wrong.
Besides which I'm with everybody who wants to see Davros remain dead. I only recently saw Genesis of the Daleks for the first time, having seen later Davros stories first, and was much more impressed with his role than I was before. If he must appear can it be in a context that reveals the Terry Molloy version as a clone or a fake or something and the Daleks of those stories as fakes too - just before they're all wiped out by the real Daleks!

Now that is a truly worthy cause.

No. Not at all. I just wanted to say no but the message was too short.

Gary Oldman would be the actor of my choice.

I would actually like to see a really good final Davros story. The Daleks should play a very minor role in the story. It would be Davros' story.
I think it could be done and has the potential to be a classic. It would have to be really well done though.
One of the biggest hurdles would be how is he still alive? I am sure it is not insurmountable though.

No-one is doubting your word..just the validity of the entry to imdb which has shown itself to be not so reliable in the past.

I have said this before Davros was the Emperor of the Dalek’s in the last original series Dalek episode so doesn’t that mean that the Emperor in the Parting of the Way’s was a mutated Davros.

I see your point, but he didn't seem Davrosy enough.
