Orange are trying to bribe their customers who have "Orange out here" on their PAYG accounts.

To those who dont know, the origianal out here package was sold for £14.99 back in late 2000, early 2001. This gave you £5 talk time credit on your account, and 5 free texts per day for life, as long as you have 1p or more on your account. There is no need to top up your account as long as you only send 5 text messages per day.

Last week I noticed that credit was being taken from my account when I was sending text messages. I phoned Orange customer services who informed me there was a problem with Orange out here and that they "may not be able to get it back". They said I would just have to wait a few days but if I wanted to give up my out here they could credit my account with £20. I told them that I would wait and see and that I didnt want £20 credit. Four days later my free texts were back on. I wonder how many people scrapped their "out here" for £20? These orange out here sim cards are going for around £50 on e bay.

Orange have tried several times to ban "out here" but thankfully they are back on. They said when they were selling this deal that it was for life, they should stick to what they say.

They seem to have "technical problems" with Out Here at least twice a year.
