Liberty X - Got To Have Your Love
I heard Schooly on Capital Radio say that this was the best cover of the year. What a f**king joke - the track is an identical copy of the Mantronix classic. Even the ooohs and the aaahs are in the same place. How unoriginal is that.
I can't stand the way that this is treated as a great cover version when it is just a karaoke-style cover, and the original blows it away anyway. What is going on in the charts these days ? At least the 80's were original. These manufactured bands are getting worse. Wait till Xmas when the 2 'rivals' bands release xmas singles. I remember when Jona Lewie was at no. 1 with 'Stop The Cavalry' - now there is a xmas classic. |

But then if if Liberty X changed it everyone would say how awful it was. So they can't really win. Sticking to the original was probably the better choice. I never heard the original untill Liberty X released it and everyone than started going on about it.

This song typifies the attitude towards the UK music industry. The Liberty X song hasnt added anything to the original, its just to make money. God knows.. soon they will be doing 90s covers. The fact that these money making covers are stopping proper bands from breaking out into the big-time quite frankly disgusts me.
I hate these tenny pop groups. |

In short they hear and like whats readily available to them and never hear any other music. BTW Liberty X aint the worst teeny group by a long way |

Yeah, but who today would know about the Mantronix track.
No-one under the age of around 25! One thing is for sure, Liberty X are far from a shite teen band, they have proved they can do well. |

Do they really have to say things like that if they don't mean it ?
He sounded very genuine. |
