CBS Kicks Off "Big Brother 7' With Special Casting Episode
CBS KICKS OFF "BIG BROTHER 7" WITH SPECIAL CASTING EPISODE UNVEILING TOP 20 CANDIDATES FOR ALL-STAR EDITION, TO BE BROADCAST WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21 AT 8:00 PM ON CBS
TELEVISION VIEWERS TO PLAY CASTING AGENT AND VOTE ONLINE AT CBS.COM FOR THEIR FAVORITE PAST "BIG BROTHER" CONTESTANTS TO MOVE INTO THE HOUSE HOST JULIE CHEN WILL ANNOUNCE THE 12 HOUSEGUESTS MOMENTS BEFORE THEY ENTER THE HOUSE ON THE SEASON PREMIERE, THURSDAY, JULY 6 AT 8:00 PM Viewers will be reunited with some of the most memorable, entertaining and controversial Houseguests from previous installments of Big Brother when the 20 candidates vying to compete in the all-stars edition are unveiled during BIG BROTHER ALL-STARS: AMERICA'S CHOICE. The special primetime casting episode, which kicks off the season, will be broadcast on Wednesday, June 21 at 8:00 PM on the CBS Television Network. For the first time in BIG BROTHER history worldwide, viewers will have the opportunity to vote which former Houseguests should compete this season with American television viewers choosing half of the houseguests who will ultimately enter the BIG BROTHER house. A few hours after the casting episode is broadcast (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), viewers can cast their votes online at CBS.com. The polls will close on Wednesday, June 28 at 11:59 PM ET/8:59 PM PT. Each potential "All Star" introduced on the casting episode will have their own profile on CBS.com, which will include "Why you should vote for me" text and video, as well as clips from their past appearance on BIG BROTHER. Additionally, throughout the voting process, candidates will be able to campaign for themselves and will be encouraged to use any reasonable means they can to state their case to America as to why they should be voted into the BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS house. During the premiere of BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS, all 20 finalists will be present and awaiting the news of who will play the game. Host Julie Chen will announce the lucky 12, who will immediately enter the house. BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS will follow the relationships and conflicts of players who live together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day. One by one, the houseguests will vote each other out of the house. At the end of three months the last remaining houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000. While living together in a confined space won't be anything new to the houseguests, choosing between any pre-existing relationships and building new alliances could be a challenge. BIG BROTHER 7: ALL-STARS is Executive Produced by Academy Award and Emmy Award winner Arnold Shapiro, Emmy Award winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan in association with Endemol U.S.A. That surprises me, considering that BB1 stuck to the classic BB format.

I've seen 9 of the top 20 pool of players and there is someone i remmeber from the uber boring BB1, but I doubt anyone will vote for them or that the producers will put them in the house.
I hope some of the really interesting character make it back. I want Monica (2), Janelle and Kaysar (6), Allison and Jun (4), Bunky (2). It's hard to say though since we don't know all the people that have agreed to return yet. |

Howie is one of the top 20 and I liked him. He was fun! But I doubt he'll be voted back in.

Howie pretty much messed up BB last year by nominating James & Sarah. So I would prefer him not to be in the house this year.

BB1 HM's will be included which was more like our BB than the others, so some of them will be playing the game they never had a chance to play the first time. Wednesday night 21st is a special episode where 20 nominees will be revealed and then the public will vote on who they want to go in. The top 3 women and top 3 men will go into the house and 6 more will be chosen by the producers. A few weeks back the list was seemingly leaked on the BB website. Within a few hours a second list was leaked but it seemed like the second one was a bit of a red herring to cover up the original leak. Recently a trailer has aired in the USA with 9 of the 20 appearing. Since they were in the original leaked list and not the second it's added credability for that list. Leaked List BB1 *George BB2 *Bunky *Monica BB3 Danielle Marcellas Lisa BB4 *Alison *Dana Erika BB5 Diane *Jase *Michael *Nakomis BB6 *Howie Ivette James Janelle Kaysar Mike BB2/BB5 Will BB2/BB5 *Shown in BB trailer The poll opens at 11am on Weds (presumably EST) Host Julie Chen was on Letterman on Monday night (Tues in UK) if you can't wait the clip is on YouTube The show starts for real 15 days after and this year the Saturday show will move to Sundays Mag scan1 Mag scan2 Mag scan3 Mag scan4 |

No worries. The casting special has just aired, and I can confirm that the above list turned out to be 100% correct. Mike and Will are from BB2 BTW

I am but I assume you assumed that.
I just hope Kaysar, Janelle, Nakomis and Marcellas get in for me they're the 4 best BB players I've seen. Dr Will is meant to be good but I haven't seen BB2 |

I'm very surprised but very happy that George has made it onto the shortlist. CBS always seemed to be trying to forget BB1 ever happened so I'm glad it's been included - Even if he may be a fish out of water with the format as it is nowadays.

I'd rather see James get in over Howie because of how he messed up last season.
James may struggle to find a spot because 3 from last year will make it and 4 may be too much. Also Dr. Will kinda has James' role covered but I'd love to see them lock horns. If 4 from S6 did get in that would make them a big target and I don't want that happening. As somebody stated I think Chicken George from BB1 will get in so they can say they have a rep from every year. I would have liked to have seen Brittany or Eddie from the first season instead of George. Oh and camaj, Will is the best player I've seen counting BB2-6 and Survivor 1-12 but he'll be a marked man this time round. It'll be interested to see what strategy he comes up with 2nd time around. |

Those three alone will put the other houseguests on high alert. James being there would add to the danger. Was in a chatroom with Kaysar on JU lastnight and he keeps in touch with Janie, Howie & James. If James makes it in it'll be at the producers descretion as I don't think he'll beat Kaysar, Howie or Will in votes. As for the girls, as I said Janie is an obvious one and I think Danielle is well liked too. Not sure about the 3rd lady. |

Having never seen U.S BB, what is this show like in comparison to the U.K version?, which to me is now past its sell by date.
I'm downloading the casting couch epi now. |

I'm downloading the casting couch epi now. The power is up for grabs in HoH, Power of Veto (winner can remove themselves or a friend from the nomination block) and the house picks who to vote out between the 2 nominees meaning lots of campaigning by those who are on the chopping block. Outside of the game you get to see who is who. No playing up to the cameras because it isn't a popularity contest. No becoming a celebrity just for being on the show. I liken them to the mindset of BB1 and BB2 UK lot who didn't have any expectations once they were out of the house. Oh yeah and it's All Stars this year which means there will be 5 or 6 that I will really like. You look at the BBUK forum on here and all it seems to be is hate and criticism which is probably justified in most cases. |
