Is there anyone out there who owns one of the above models? I have a 32" Hitachi (One of the above, don't recall which) and it is 18 months old.
The last couple of months have seen it dropping into stand-by mode by itself and then coming back on by itself moments later. Unfortunately this has now progressed into the TV dropping into stand-by as soon as it is turned on and refusing to start.
I guess it is a power supply issue but it seems a bit of a poor show for such a young TV. If anyone else out there has similar problems I may be able to convince Hitachi that it is a design flaw.

Yes.

C32WD2TN2

I have had this TV 2 years now and am currently seeing the TV switch itself into standby a few times per day.

This happens when the curtains are closed and no remote is in view of the TV set, hence, cannot be a signal from anywhere telling the TV to switch off. I guess covering the IT sensor would have been a better test bed.

Anyway, there is a certain fault there.

Another one is the picture seems to twitch for a while when the TV is warming up from a cold start.

Sounds very similar to how mine started.
I forgot to mention the twitching/clicking when it starts, I just put that down to it reading the signal from RGB or Scart and selecting the right screen ratios etc.
Any others before I contact Hitachi?

I have a 28" Hitachi, don't know the model number as at work but it is making clicking noises already and I have only had it for about 8 months.

Suppose it serves me right for letting the girlfriend buy it.

My parents have a 28" widescreen tv. This is there third one because there seems to be some dodgy speaker connections. Where the sound becomes very distorted. So far none of the problems you have had.
