Toppy EPG's
Steveb008

I have just bought myself a Toppy During my research I found a few EPG TAPs. The common ones; JAG (which I can't seem to download from anywhere), MyStuff (which I downloaded). I have been use to a Netgem iPlayer EPG which is similar to the Sky one.

My Toppy is still in transit (hoping it arrived by the weekend). Ideally I would like an EPG this I can set recording timers from and have auto padding (I think that is important). Perfection would be a Sky style grid. Could you experienced Toppy owners advise on your prefrred EPG, even if the standard Toppy one will do what I want.

Thanks

My preferred choice is EPG Navigator. Simple, straightforward, does padding, saves the data for when you turn off.

You have already downloaded MyStuff, which is my preferred EPG. I'd also suggest taking a look at EPG Navigator, it also has many fans.

Perhaps somewhat heretically I also quite like the standard Toppy EPG in conjunction with the UK suite of taps (Surfer, Timers and Auto Scheduler).

Have a play and see what suits you best.

If you just want autopadding the simplist are UK/OZ surfer and UK Timers.

I have tried most of the EPG taps and cant say I was too impressed with any of them - some are fine if you can download the data every week etc but I really cant and some of the others didnt really work.

Surfer is not a grid epg but is my favourite TAP.

By the way, EPG Navigator continually crashed my box. If anyone has any ideas why or has expierienced the same please let me know.

After a bit of playing around I have currently gone for EPG Navigator. I have put this with UK Timers. I think togther these give me just want I wanted.

I'm looking forward to being able to remove and/or reorder the channels on the EPG as the web site suggests this willl be i the next verison.
