Fame Academy's Sinead Quinn.

Quinny was FIT.

Wasn't she from Co. Tyrone, North Ireland.

Her one-hit wonder was pretty good.

She opened a specs store in Downpatrick.

And she hasn't been seen since.

Well that's not a very good advert for the store.

Was just looking at The Feeling's myspace page and found this:

It seems she's back! I'll let you make up your own minds as to whether that's a good thing or not

You might ask whatever happened to any of the ex-Fame Academy contestants??? Lemar seems to be the only one who has blossomed and he didn't even win!

....which goes to show either:

a. The hidden strength of depth in some of the contestants and/or
b. The failings of the GBP to support the winner/runner-up after the show has ended (it'd help if they put out material that the GBP would like but hey, isn't that the way with most reality TV show winners?).

Alex Parks released an album (Honesty) last year (October time I think). I saw her live in Manchester and she was really good. Dropped by Polydor earlier this year, unfortunately.

The gig that I went to sold out, but I managed to get two tickets from ebay for £3 odd. Good for me, not particularly good for the person I bought them from, who paid £20 plus booking fee and postage!

Yes, the album didn't do as well as hoped, so it was no surprise to see Polydor give her the elbow. A shame for Alex as the album seemed to be in the making for years (maybe too long, the public forget all so easily!) and planning the big comeback . It just didn't happen.

Her debut single was fantastic. A real toe-tapper.
