I saw Coronation Street on Weds for the first time in an absolute age. Having been a fan for year I lost track ofit just after my daughter was born and never really bothered trying to catch up again.

Anyway on Weds it was on the TV and I started watching, loads of character are still the same but Ken had Mike giving a talk to ahis class at school, and then latter they were in the Rovers talking to each other without the open hostility that I am accustomed to. So what happened when did they stop hating each other ?

More or less after the infamous Freshco siege when they were both held hostage by Linda's brother - it's a sort of variant on the Helsinki Syndrome.

The Helsinki Syndrome is where you come to tolerate your fellow captives. And, yes, I just invented it!

Meanwhile - you presumably are unaware that Mrs Curly shot dead Mike's ex-wife's brother (or Fred's bigamous wife's son depending which way you look at it)?

For some reason they never talk of it. Possibly because they might have to work out what relation the late robber would have been to Joshua and their brains, like mine, couldn't cope.
