It would be great to have Tracy Ann Obermann back for Dens trial this year after her pregnancy and also Michelle Ryan and Kim Meldcalf for a one week special.

They'll probably do what they did with Janine's trial and pretend they've all left court via the back door.

I think this has been covered in an earlier strand. There won't be a formal trial as Chrissie has pleaded guilty; she'd appear before a crown court judge for sentencing (only) and this would take about a day. Chrissie would be represented by her barrister and, after hearing submissions in her defence and from the prosecution the judge would decide on her jail term after reading probation reports and the CPS statements etc.

One point I would make is that Chrissie would (should) probably be pleading guilty to manslaughter rather than murder which carries a mandatory life senetence though that normally means about 15 years in jail.

In my (limited) opinion if Chrissie's plea of manslaughter - with mitigating circumstances - is accepted then she's looking at ten years and with good behaviour could be released in about seven years.

There would be no need for witnessess, a jury or any of the usual malarkey so no need for her co-conspirators to attend.

I don't think they should have a trial but when Sharon comes back we should have a story where Sharon visits Chrissie regulary and could try to get forgivness. Which could then lead to Zoe returning and admitting Den woke up in the grave and she knocked him out again. And she gets sent to prison and Chrissie released

Or was that wishful thinking on my part

I think it was stupid the way they handled Janine's trial, I mean you didn't even see Janine, I know Charlie Brooks said she didn't want to return, but you would have at least thought EE would have found a lookalike

I doubt Eastenders will be bringing any characters back for the trial, if there ever is one on screen. This story seems to have been totally forgotten; this is strange, because a murder would surely be talked about for months afterwards. I feel it would have been much better if Sharon and Dennis had moved away, because I doubt very much Letitia Dean will return to the square again.

Chrissie was a good character, who the writers totally burnt out. I feel this is the way Eastenders is going now, characters will be brought in short term, and then dispensed with, once their story is resumed. It is becoming like Heartbeat, where there is a core of characters who rarely have a story; all the action is provided by the guests who appear for one week only.

i really liked Chrissie, in fact she's probably the best new character they have bought in over the last couple of years. It's tragic what the writers have done to the character making it almost impossible for her to return!

Couldn't agree more.

More than anything its such a shame, and EE can't afford to keep making such mistakes.

I don't like this idea!! I found this storyline was dragged out too long and would not want this nonsense dragged back up. I, for one, would not watch EE for the whole week whilst this storyline ran!!

You do not have to press return/enter so many times you know, it is not a race to see who uses/wastes the most lines.

I also believe that that is a form of advertising.

I believe Eastenders should get Chrissie back for Dens trial.
