I am really really desperate, I am trying to find the song from the OC trailer currently being aired on E4. The snipet used has got "California" in it, I can't make out any other lyrics.

And before everyone posts and sugests Phantom Planet, it's definitely not their "California".

Well, a new song with California in it is Dani California by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Perhaps that?

I haven't seen the advert, so this may be of no help at all, but Semisonic recorded a song called 'California' a few years ago. That could be worth a try.
