Hi, just wondering if anyone can explain this problem i'm having. Firstly I'll describe how i've set everything up, (dvd, vcr, sky etc).

SKY BOX PORTS: Tv scart --> RGB scart in tv.
VCR Scart --> DVD player scart.
Ariel In --> RF OUT on Video.
RF OUT 1 --> Ariel In on tv.
RF OUT 2 --> TV Link going to up stair tvs.

DVD PLAYER PORTS: Scart --> DVD player VCR scart input (as said above).

VCR PORTS: Ariel In --> Terrestrial Ariel.
RF OUT --> Ariel In on Sky Box.
AV In/Out --> 2nd Scart input on tv.

The problem I'm having is that to record a programme of sky I put my video to channel A1, (for the scart cable). Thing is that when ever I tamper with the channel on the tv, the video records this, (ie. If i'm on AV1 on the tv then the video will be taping sky but if i turn to terrestrial bbc ,(on the tv, NOT video) the video will tape this. Also, if i turn off the tv the video just tapes black.). I never had this problem with my old tv.

Could it be that my tv's just annoying or have I got my set up wrong? Thing is that, with the current set up, I can watch sky, dvds and video in all my tvs upstairs which is good. Thanks.

AV In/Out --> 2nd Scart input on tv.
i would try getting rid of this connection, you shouldnt need it anyway as you run your VCR through the DVD player.
It sounds like this connection is taking the output from the TV (i.e whatever you happen to be watching) and sending it to the VCR definately NOT what you want.

if that does'nt work you could just disconnect the DVD player and try a simple STB VCR out -> VCR scart connection and the STB TV out going direct to your TV for RGB. This set up works fine for me
