Optical output question
Orbitalzone
08-12-2000
I am going to buy a DVD player soon, Sony or Panasonic most likely. These have the optical output for Dolby digital etc. I was hoping to use the optical output so I can make digital recordings of audio CD's onto my MiniDisc recorder. I know it works but when I have tried this on Thomson (Samsung) DVD players it works except the nice feature that puts in the music track numbers doesnt work, so you end up with a digital copy without any track numbers. A minor point but annoying. Anyone tried doing this ? I need a new CD and DVD and hoped it can be done with just a DVD player. I really wanted to make digital copies of audio CD's.
Thanks.
